Reborn Record Keeping

I’ve gotten a lot of babies in a very short amount of time. I only got my first reborn ever, in December 2022. It’s now April 2023 and I’ve purchased 22 reborn babies!! Yes, that’s a lot, but it wasn’t long that I knew I needed some way to track all of my babies, so I decided to use a Google spreadsheet. It’s stored on the web in my Google account, so I don’t have to worry if my house catches fire, is blown away in a storm…or whatever, I know those records are safe.

Insurance Claim

Another reason why I wanted to keep a record of all of my babies and their details, is for insurance purposes. I have spent thousands of dollars on my babies, and if I lose my house and all of my babies, I want to be able file a claim with my insurance company, to be compensated for that loss. Of course, we cannot get our same babies back after such a tragic loss, but we could use the claim money to get new babies. Having a record of those expenses, means I have something to provide my insurance company, if needed.

What I Include in my Spreadsheet

I include the name I give each baby, their kit name, sculptor, artist, who I got the baby from, and where, price, stats and more. All the pertinent details that I wanted to keep record of. You can keep record of whatever you like.

I have created a blank template that you can use! It’s a copy of all the columns and details I personally keep track of. Here’s the link to that blank copy You are unable to edit my blank copy, you have to either download or copy it, and then upload it into your own Google Drive in order to use it.

Organizing COA’s and Paperwork

In addition to the spreadsheet, I have expandable file folders that I use to keep each babies paperwork received with them; Certificates of Authenticity (COA), birth certificate, photos, thank you notes, etc… I got my expandable folders on Amazon in cute prints, and I also got file label sticky notes to label each folder.

Do you have a system you use to keep record of your reborn dolls? If so, please comment below and share your system.
